This picture just works for me. I took the image of the kitten tucked up in the corner of the window not realising I had captured the window reflection of the houses and washing opposite. I was more worried about getting my own reflection out of the frame at the time!
Taken with a Leica M4-2 with a Summicron 50mm f/2 on Fomapan 400 Action film and developed in Kodak D76 stock for 9 minutes at 24°c
Taken last year in one of the many alleyways of Sheerness, England. Nikon FE, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 Ai on Fomapan 100 Classic and developed in Kodak D76
While walking home with my wife, camera always in hand I saw this teenage girl walking on the top of the sea wall in Sheerness. Before I snapped this picture she was running along the seawall. Very silly really, it’s a 20 foot drop to the footpath below!
I’m starting to relearn how to use zone focusing with this camera. It has really taken me back to basics with this camera, and this image was taken using the sunny sixteen rule.

Taken on Sheerness seafront, one of the old Victorian groynes slowly being weathered away which has given the timbers over the years the look of old bones. One part of the wood the grain looks like a some sort of tribal tattoo.
Image was taken using a Leica M4-2 with a Summicron 50mm f/2, metered using a Weston Master V on Fomapan 400 film and developed in Kodak D76 stock for 7 minutes.
This image came about because of a wrong exposure but having seen the image I decided that was worth using. I can’t even remember where I took the picture. I know it was in December 2017 and taken on the Isle of Sheppey, England.
My wife has since reminded me I took this shot at Bartons Point Coastal Park.

The Bure Valley Railway is a 15 inch (38 cm) minimum gauge heritage railway in Norfolk, England. The railway runs from Wroxham to Aylsham and is Norfolk’s longest railway of less than standard gauge.
Always looking for a picture I noticed the reflection of the people queuing for the next train in the carriage windows opposite.
Taken last July on a Nikon FE with a Nikkor 28mm F2.8 Ai lens on Fomapan 100 Classic and developed in Kodak D76 for 9 minutes.
And just one more today,
A tongue-in-cheek street image as we Brits seem to be always getting our vehicles stuck in the snow and ice. Shot in Sheerness, England at the end of March this year.
Taken with a Nikon FE, Nikkor 50mm f1.8 Ai on Fomapan 100 Classic and developed in Kodak D76 at 20°c for 9 minutes.
This is my dog Charlie and the first picture I have taken with my Leica M4-2. The camera is a joy to use, wonderful simple camera but you may notice the image is not sharp, indeed if you look at his ears, you’ll see where the depth of field is…
Quote by Henri Cartier–Bresson: “Sharpness is a bourgeois concept”
