Falaise in Normandie, France.
I saw these doors or ‘des portes’ down a side street, and liked the possibility of a making of a sort symmetry image. I framed up, hoping for someone to walk past the scene in front of me, no one came past. Having waited for a dust cart to move on (oh the glamorous life of a street photographer!) eventually, after some time this woman was walking down the opposite side of the street, by chance she crossed over and into the frame to complete the picture.
Taken on a Leica M4-2, Summicron 50mm f/2 on Kodak Tri-X film and developed in Kodak D76 stock for 8 minutes at 24ºc.
