Half timbered

Normandie, France.
This barn was opposite where we were staying in Saint Germain de Montgommery. Typical half timbered building infilled with wattle and daub, or ‘torchis’ in French. Common construction on older buildings though out the Normandie area and many parts of Europe.
Shot in bright sunlight I liked the tones, timber grain and old wooden dowels in this image.

Taken with a Leica M4-2, Summicron 50mm f/2 with a yellow B&W filter on Kodak Tri-X 400 film. Developed in Kodak D76 1:1 for 13 minutes at 20ºc.
