Half timbered

Normandie, France.
This barn was opposite where we were staying in Saint Germain de Montgommery. Typical half timbered building infilled with wattle and daub, or ‘torchis’ in French. Common construction on older buildings though out the Normandie area and many parts of Europe.
Shot in bright sunlight I liked the tones, timber grain and old wooden dowels in this image.
