Having got my M4-2 rangefinder back from the repairers, I just had to get a film though it! Spotted this little fellow with his owner sitting on a bench at Barton Point Coastal park, Isle of Sheppey, England.
Taken on my Leica M4-2, Summicron 50mm f/2 on Fomapan 100 Classic film, using a Weston Master V meter and developed in Ilford ID11 for 6 minutes at 22ºc.
Gacé in Normandy, France.
Street photography. Outside this cafe on Rue Saint-Jacque in the bright autumnal sunshine, this woman in the foreground seemed miles away subbing out her cigarette.
Taken on a Nikon FE, Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai with a yellow Photax filter on Fomapan Classic 100 film.
Taken at Leybourne lakes near Snodland, England. While walking the dog, my wife and I came across these baby dummies hanging on a tree along the path. There must of been at least 30 of them decorating this tree, made for a unusual shot.

While in France last month, I found this old bar called Bar du Chaleau in the small town of Gacé. Strong sunlight between the buildings was shining across the front of the old run down tavern, giving it a eerie but interesting look.

Taken at the Basilica of Sainte-Thérèse de Lisieux, France. Shot from the front of the building at the side entrance steps at the Basilica building.
I was intrigued by the zig zag pattern shadows across the stone steps. I just waited for someone to come down, some nuns appeared at the top, brilliant I thought, they saw me with camera and proceeded to walk down the other side! Eventually, after waiting for someone to walk down the right way this lady appeared walking slowly down the steps to finish the picture for me.

I’ve just returned from a short excursion in Normandie, France, and have been shooting with my Nikon FE.
While I was away my Leica M4-2 has now returned from it’s service at cameraworks-uk. I must thank Alan Starkie at Camera Works for all his hard work. Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on the way you look at this, Alan and his Son are absolutely inundated with Leica rangefinders wanting service or repair from all around the world. So service waiting time is not quick but well worth the wait I assure you.
Now for the picture…
Taken last year in Broadstairs, Kent, England after the remains of Storm Irma hit the UK.
I was trying out Fomapan Retro 320, a soft grain film which I now think might better for portraiture rather than landscapes or seascape images, although got to admit the soft tones do have an certain appeal in the image.
