Street corner portrait

Don’t normal do self portraits but with this street shot looking though the viewfinder, I saw the fat man with his dog and a Leica camera. At the same time I also viewed the image within the picture which made for something a little different with this self portrait I had not seen taken by other photographers before.

Smile!

Back from France, but in quarantine for two weeks …oh. 😞

This time I was able to go to France with two Leica’s, M4 with black and white the other loaded with colour. Taken in Vimoutiers town square and sometimes if I catch someones eye, I still take the shot, but now just saying smile! …sometimes you get a great reaction.

Restriction

Taken back in April during the lockdown I walk past this small parking restriction sign most days walking my dog. I wanted to catch the light just right so it would highlight the pot marks which look like the sign has been peppered with buck shot.

I haven’t done much work of late, what with dealing with my late fathers estate, that and the restrictions of the Covid 19 outbreak, I have found very difficult to find the time or inspiration. Rest assured images will be coming soon as the wife and I will staying in Normandie, France very soon.

Night before

Bright sunny morning and I came across this bench with the empty bottle and can from the night before. There is something to be said for empty streets during this lockdown for photographers, it’s either easy to find shots like the one below or harder because you work to a image that is going to work for you.

The four

These four Starlings where sitting calling at the top of the telegraph pole. There was no other sound this morning, no people, cars or buses, only the sea was the only other sound to be heard. Strange times, good for landscapes as there no vapor trails across the sky unyet we cannot go far, good for the environment with pollution levels dropping… maybe this will become the norm one day, to help our planet recover.

Outside

I shot this during my allotted exercise with my dog Charlie. At this time of the morning there’s a few people out along this stretch of seafront but there is no one around, no cyclists, runners or other dog walkers. A very strange feeling being alone, me my dog and my Leica camera. As we are only venture out and not go very far from home, it has made it an quite an interesting exercise trying to find subjects to photograph.

Puppy love

Shot before the current curfew, on a dull overcast day, this lady was taking her Pomeranian puppy for his first outing at Minster Leas, Isle of Sheppey, England. Wasn’t happy with first image I uploaded yesterday, so with a little dodging and burning in Gimp the result I’m pleased with. To tell the truth I don’t like messing around with my pictures too much, some might say I’m lazy but if it’s not right, I scrap the image.
