Minions!

I have seen this Ford van driving around Sheerness, England many times before but could never get a shot, until I spotted in Aldi supermarket car park while shopping with my wife, still with it’s Minions attached.

A-B-SEA

I saw this gifts and second hand shop in Whitstable high street, England back in 2016. Whitstable being a seaside town, it was rather appropriate, if not somewhat corny with these chairs outside this shop.

Luminance

This picture was taken over the marshes of Barton’s point, Sheerness, England.

I originally shot the image last November but was not happy with it’s outcome, there was just not enough detail of the Teasels in the image or too much flare. So I retook the picture this month, but this time using slower film, a yellow B&W filter and shot either in the day so the sun was somewhat lower in the sky.

Racing the tide

Dragged out of my archive, taken August 2016 at Whitstable beach, England. People walking back along a sand bar as the incoming tide returns and that day, oh boy did the sea come back quickly.

Rise

Another image from Christmas day. I’d never had so much fun on a Christmas morning, the light was perfection, if only everyday was the same. Taken at Barton’s Point Coastal Park, England.

Frosted

Taken early Christmas Day. there was a hard frost over Barton’s Point Coastal park, England as I walked the dog with my wife, it was a beautiful Christmas winter morning, very quiet and cold.

Waiting for Summer

I walk past this scene most weekends with my dog, but somehow I could never get it to look quite right. This is the back view of the ‘Seabreeze’ Caravan Park, Sheerness, England.

Number 3

For the life of me I cannot remember where exactly I took this shot! I thought it was Gacé, France but having looked on Google Street View, apparently not.

Anyway it was taken in Normandy, because I liked the dilapidated beams and window frames of this house and the typical front step of many Normandy houses.

Roadside Repair

Taken near the entrance of Barton’s Point Coastal Park, England on a warm sunny September day.

While walk along the sea wall this gentlemen stopped and began adjusting his bicycle. I was going to crop out the crash barrier plus the street lamp but having seen the angle of the curb stones and street markings, the diagonal lines add to this images appeal for me.

Lurcher in the grass

My dog Charlie again. I have a goal of using my Leica M4-2 without using a handheld meter. Slowly but surely I seem to be able to get exposures right without worrying about carrying the exposure meter with me. Think the exposure I used was something like 1/60 at F4 into the bright sunlight, which I’m very please with as trying to get Charlie to stay still long enough while out and about isn’t that easy!
