I see you!

Taken nearly five years ago now, (where does the time go?) this image taken at our previous house where our old neighbours little girl liked to look through the gaps in the fence.

Taken using sunny 16 rule I think the image was a stop or two underexposed. Shot on a old Soviet Fed 2 rangefinder Circ 1959 with 52mm Industar lens on Ilford FP5 film.

Happy New Year to you all.

Marsh Ponies

I really like this picture, must get it printed sometime. I took this shot back in February 2015. Taken at late afternoon at marshland by the River Medway at Raspberry Hill, Iwade, England.

A bitterly cold day, I wanted to capture their winter breath in the sunlight. As soon as I stopped the waters edge to get a shot, they wondered off, typical! Curiosity got the better of some of the ponies and these four came back to the waters edge, so got the reflection as well.

I decided to crop the image in a sort of letterbox format because the foreground was little distracting from the image and the sky was completely burnt out by the sun despite using a Cokin red filter. In hindsight, I had a grey graduate filter in my camera bag at the time, maybe I should of used it.

Nikon F80, with a Nikkor 28-100mm F3.5-5.6 AF-G lens on Ilford HP5 Plus 400 film.
