Walking though Lisieux, Normandie taking street photos, this couple saw me with my camera a posed, I think they were students. Don’t think you get many people do this, most walk by in a world of their own. Couldn’t help but not take this informal street portrait, if for nothing else but for the dog.

I was intrigued by the zig zag pattern shadows across the stone steps. I just waited for someone to come down, some nuns appeared at the top, brilliant I thought, they saw me with camera and proceeded to walk down the other side! Eventually, after waiting for someone to walk down the right way this lady appeared walking slowly down the steps to finish the picture for me.
Nikon FE, Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai with a yellow Photax filter and taken on Fomapan Classic 100 film and developed in Ilford ID11 developer.
