Minster Leas beach, Isle of Sheppey, England.
I was taking pictures of the seafront when I spotted this couple at this beach hut. This image appeals to me because of the gentlemen mowing the grass, and his wife was doing the spring cleaning, obviously a home from home.
Taken on Nikon F80, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF-D, on Fomapan 100 Classic film.
Taken on a chilly but sunny Sunday morning at Minster beach, Isle of Sheppey, England. The tide had gone out as far as you could see, there was this one couple walking along the shore with their dog that morning.
Taken on my Leica M4-2, Summicron 50mm f/2 on Fomapan 100 film.
While out walking in Mote Park, Maidstone England on a Sunday morning, my wife pointed these five Border Collies out to me. Turned out the owner was out jogging with them and had stopped to check her phone while the collies eagerly awaited her next move!
Taken on my Leica M4-2 with the Summicron 50mm f/2 lens with AGFA Vista 200 film.
Taken on a warm September day at Bartons Point Coastal Park, Isle of Sheppey, England.

Three years ago I started taking shots of dogs, inspired by the images of dogs taken by Photographer Elliott Erwitt. My wife and I came across these two ladies with their dogs on Sheerness seafront, England.
These two feisty Chihuahuas gave me a stand off, as they didn’t like the me or the camera! Later after processing I hadn’t noticed their boy who was on the wall bored waiting as we all chatted.
Nikon F80, AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D taken on AGFA Vista 200 film converted to black & white.
Taken at Mote Park, Maidstone, England on a very cold January day. They say you shouldn’t shot directly into the sun, can’t see why… damn it, blinded again!
Taken on my Leica M4-2 with the Summicron 50mm f/2 on Fomapan 400 film and a B&W red filter.
Dragged out of my archive, taken August 2016 at Whitstable beach, England. People walking back along a sand bar as the incoming tide returns and that day, oh boy did the sea come back quickly.
Nikon F80, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF-D with a Hoya red filter on Fomapan 100 Classic film and developed in Kodak D76 for 9 minutes.
I took this shot back in 2013 on warm autumnal day. Taken at Leybourne Lakes Country Park in England, this image for me summed up this lazy afternoon and was one of the pictures at the start of my return to film photography.
Taken with a Praktica BX20, Prakticar 50mm f/1.8 on Kentmere 400 film.
Taken near the entrance of Barton’s Point Coastal Park, England on a warm sunny September day.
While walk along the sea wall this gentlemen stopped and began adjusting his bicycle. I was going to crop out the crash barrier plus the street lamp but having seen the angle of the curb stones and street markings, the diagonal lines add to this images appeal for me.
Shot on a Nikon FE, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AI with Fomapan 100 classic film.
Vierville-sur-Mer, Normandie in France, better known to you as Omaha Beach. This picture I shot as the weather closed in, moments later the heavens began to open. The view is looking out from the seafront to this pier is now joined to what was part of Mulberry A Harbour. Later on having developed the film I discovered I had underexposed the shot by a stop, but all the same I’m pleased with the resulting image.
Taken on a Nikon FE, Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai with a Yellow Photax filter on Fomapan 100 Classic film and developed in Ilford ID11 for 6 minutes at 22ºc.
