Not something I would normally publish, but I look at this image the more interesting I find this picture. Shot on an overcast morning on Minster beach, England. Annoyingly in the distance I could see Southend across the estuary was lit up by sunshine, but maybe the flat light is the why this image works for me.

For some strange reason which I just cannot explain, the horizon doesn’t look level but if you go to crop the picture and bring the crop line down the horizon is straight.

Taken on the Leica M4-2, Summicron 50mm f/2 with a B&W red filter on Kodak Tri-X film and developed in Ilford ID11 for 8 minutes at 22Âșc.
