I'm Martin, a amateur photographer from England that likes to shoot street photography, landscapes, seascapes and odd image of dogs on digital as well as film. I use a Leica M-P (Typ-240) with a Summilux 50mm f/1.4 ASPH lens and a 1959 Leica M3 single stoke with Summicron 50mm duel range lens. My blog was formerly known as 'The 35mm Shootist'
Originally I shot the image for the reflections in the sand. Having processed the picture, not only have I captured the two men and the two little boys, the composition of the image is also most near perfect with the water running out across the sand out to the sea.
I’m pretty certain these are all members of the same family as further up the beach was mother and grandmother, in what was a glorious summers day at Lion sur Mer seafront.

Street photography in Honfleur, France. As this couple walked past, I barked to get the dog attention and the woman looked at me instead of her Pappion, much to the amusement of the people sitting at the caf’e opposite.

Plage de Deauville, France. This was the only couple to pick a spot on the sand here by the promenade. Everyone else was down by the waters edge, perhaps they just wanted somewhere quiet and who can blame them.
Taken on my Leica M4-2, Summicron 35mm f/2 ASPH on Kodak Tri-X film rated at ISO 800.
I’m losing my M4 for a few weeks due to a light leak, so back to the repairers.
Honfleur, France. Looking up Rue des Lingots, which is a narrow street in the old part of Honfleur, I came across these two oriental tourists. The woman in front of me was taking pictures of her friend with a mobile phone. As she taking images, the other girl was holding various model poses for her friend and both of them totally oblivious to everyone else around them. I also love the look from the man walking up the street, it just completed the picture for me.

Mont Saint Michel, France. I took this image there among the crowds of tourists. Shooting the people coming and going up and down the steps, and with the man waiting, this young woman come into the frame, and some how completes this picture for me.
