Tails wagging

Honfleur, France – August 2020.

One of those days that was really far too hot to have dogs outside really as the temperature was up in the 90’s. Anyway this fellow had spotted my dog and along with the girl at the back of the group peering over at him made for a interesting street scene at one of the many Cafés in Honfleur.

I do like trawling through previous images I have taken but dismissed at the time. Looking at this picture, lord only knows why I discounted this one, I think flipping through the scans I failed to notice the reason I had taken the picture in the first place. Not only the two girls looking at the phone but up on the balcony above them was an lady doing the same. Did think about cropping the image to portrait, maybe some of you would of done, maybe it should be. Either way I’m happy with the picture final look.

Boys & Girls

Honfleur, France August 2020.

Street image of tourists and cyclists on Rue Haute, Honfleur Normandy. Two men on bikes with the girls walking the opposite direction made for a perfect shot.

Lockdown Street

Sheerness, England, parking around what use to known as Marine Town is hard to find many spare spaces during lock down. This only means one thing, no one is at work and it’s like a Sunday but everyday.

NHS

During lockdown I notice there seems to be an awful lot of discarded belongs around where I live. Most of what I see being left out are children’s toys and part of this I think is due to the shutdown the recycling, refuse sites and charity shops are all closed at the moment, yet from what we have seen don’t look like they are going to open anytime soon. Just walking a mile or so from home with the dog brings some surprising finds nearly every morning.

Roadworks

Unsightly to some, great street photography for me. I find it amazing sometimes what some residents will discard onto the street and this not a big city but a sleepy seaside town.

Looks like war zone but this is just one back alley in the town, many alleyways are now like this or even worse still.

Bad Parking

Walking back along the seawall brings another discarded find, a child’s scooter. If I post every picture of all the finds I make this blog would go on for ever and a day.

The Sweeper

Further along the wall yet more cars parked everywhere, still on the brightside does keep some people employed I suppose and photographers something to shoot during the lockdown period.

Puppy love

Shot before the current curfew, on a dull overcast day, this lady was taking her Pomeranian puppy for his first outing at Minster Leas, Isle of Sheppey, England. Wasn’t happy with first image I uploaded yesterday, so with a little dodging and burning in Gimp the result I’m pleased with. To tell the truth I don’t like messing around with my pictures too much, some might say I’m lazy but if it’s not right, I scrap the image.

Me, me!

Taken either this year at Mote Park Cafe, Maidstone and after a long dog walk, bacon rolls all round! I was amused by the Cockapoo on the right trying to sit taller than his larger companion.

Reluctant puppy

We came across this young woman carrying a eight week old puppy by the Place Claude Lelouch in Deauville, France. The pup was very young and it was somewhat nervous about his surroundings. Personally, both my wife and I felt the dog was far too young to be out and about especially as the weather was forecasted to be very warm later that day.

Painted toes

Honfleur, outside the Alcyone caf’e. I saw this young lady standing bare foot holding her boots, so I took the shot. Now I know women like to paint their nails, but never someone standing in the street with cotton wool between her toes and then walk off like it. Even my wife raised her eyebrows!

Don’t blink!

Street shot taken in Honfleur, France. I saw this elegant lady, with beret walking down towards me, I got a shot standing on some nearby steps. Having processed the image, pleased with triangular look with the three women, but I found this lady has her eyes shut. All the same I’m still happy with this picture.
